About Cherries

This original British comedy drama, features a storyline with miscommunication, misdirection and plenty of laughs across six episodes. The story follows the lives of three couples. Roger and Abbey, their funny neighbours Dick and Joanne and their best friends Pete and Petra.

Covering a period of six months we look into these seemingly everyday peoples lives, only to uncover deep dark secrets, lies and even murder! Told through a naturalistic lens we follow these characters as they discover who they can really trust!

The full production has been 100% dependent on our own fundraising efforts. Thanks to our biggest supporter we have been able to schedule full production and complete the filming in May 2026. After this we will be going into post production from June 2026, with a spectacular musical showcase press night in 2027 to reveal the original series soundtrack and clips and trailers from the series.

Every creative, cast member, crew member, assistant on set has been cast organically and has been happy to contribute their time for free. Our budget covers the costs of locations, catering, costumes, props, insurances, media and music production and travel expenses where appropriate. Our team has travelled from all over East Anglia, London, Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire, which has been a surprise. We had aimed to cast within Colchester as it is a Colchester based project but this part didn't go to plan.

We are so proud of the team that has come together, that pull in the same direction, to help us create an original series from scratch, something seemingly insurmountable is being accomplished and along the way we are really enjoying ourselves, creating memories that will last a lifetime!
